EcoStep MISSION Statement
The Mission of Ecostep Building is to leave the world a better built environment for future generations.
Why We Are Passionate About EcoStep Building Design
Buildings are a major contributor to climate change.
Buildings consume 40% of all global energy. Global building greenhouse gas emissions are set to reach 84 gigatonnes of CO2 (GtCO2) by 2050². They have a major impact on the environment.
The damage generated by buildings must be addressed along with agriculture and automotive emissions if we are to slow down the temperature warming of the planet.
Buildings also consume 18% of all water in the United States. Water supplies are dwindling worldwide and water efficiency in buildings can help curb this trend.
Ecostep Building is also here to help clients design and operate high performance, healthier buildings. Sustainable, green structures can contribute significantly to the financial bottom line.
Green buildings have a lower operating cost saving energy and water over the life of the building.
For example, in the US LEED buildings report almost 20% lower maintenance costs than typical commercial buildings, and green building retrofit projects typically decrease operation costs by almost 10 % in just one year³.
A payback for most green building comes in 3-5 years. Green buildings are also known to have more asset value and can command higher rent premiums for corporate spaces.
